WHAT MAKES YOUR DAY “ESSD OFFICIAL”?

Getting your school to #BeActive for at least 120 minutes. Run or walk the distance of the given year (e.g. 2026 meters in 2026). Running, hopping, skipping, dancing: any kind of physical activity counts.

SPORTING CHAMPIONS ÇAÇI, SAKO AND DIMRAJ JOIN SCHOOLS FOR EUROPEAN SCHOOL SPORT DAY IN ALBANIA 2021

The basketball player Gazmend Çaçi with most championships, the famous volleyball player Arben Sako and best records for long runner Rauf Dimraj, went back to school today to celebrate ‘European School Sport Day 2021’ in Albania ‘European School Sport Day’ (ESSD). They joined children from Orphanage “Zyber Hallulli” to take part in this event to promote and increase participation in physical activity among youth. Two Albanian rock singers Redon Makashi and Saimir Braho been part of the event.

  1. FSHSSH launched the ESSD 2021 in the Special School “Luigj Gurakuqi”, Tirana (date 05.10.2021, time 10:00). Participants in the event: Deputy Minister of Education, Sport & Youth, Mrs. Nina Guga.
  2. Sporting champions Çaçi, Sako and Dimraj join Orphanage “Zyber Hallulli” for ESSD 2021 (date 06.10.2021, time 10:00). Participants in the event: Deputy Minister of Education, Sport and Youth, Mrs. Nina Guga; Rock singers Redon Makashi and Saimir Braho were part of the event.
  3. ESSD 2021 in School “Jeronim de Rada”, Tirana (date 08.10.2021, time 09:00). Participants in the event: Principal of the School, Mrs. Entela Alushi.
  4. ESSD 2021 in Kindergarten “Kësulkuqja”, Tirana (date 08.10.2021, time 10:30). Participants in the event: The General Director of Nurseries and Kindergarten of Tirana, Mrs. Zhaneta Beqiri; Director of the Directorate of Development and Care, Mrs. Enkeleda Isaku; Kindergarten Director, Mrs. Mirela Saliaj.

Be Active Albania invites schools to register for the European School Sport Day (ESSD) and encourage students to be physically active for at least 120 minutes. Schools can take part by organizing activities such as running, games, dancing, skipping rope, or other forms of exercise. Additional resources are available, including a guide on organizing ESSD 2020, the international promotional film, and ESSD Albania graphics.
